Hue to Hoi An

Before leaving Hue, we visited a local family's home to enjoy dinner and some entertainment! Food was absolutely amazing... surprise surprise, and the entertainment, absolutely priceless! This gang of children walked on in and started singing away! I was in stitches when they busted out Gangnam Style, dance and all! Now if only they would give the sunglasses a whirl!

It was a long bus ride to Hoi Ann, and we made many stops along the way! Below is the water buffalo that spot the country side throughout Vietnam.

We stopped at a small house on the side of the road where they make a tiger balm type liquid, below are the to types of plants used, then below that is the process, the oil is collected from the steam.

The beach we visited was absolutely amazing! I know it doesn't look like the sunniest of days, but it was sooo hot, and it was great to stop for a bit and rest in the sand and warm ocean waters!

Vietnam 2013!

As we left the beaches area, we drove up the mountain side, and this was the stunning view on the way up!

Once we reached Hoi An, we wondered around downtown a bit before heading to the hotel.

Many of the shops have singing birds for the owners enjoyment! They sound so lovely!

Even had an opportunity to try a little Vietnamese Moon Shine!

My room, wow, can you say cushy!!!!  Ya, I'm going to enjoy this one to the max!

After dinner at 'The Mermaid' restaurant, we headed back downtown and there was a full festival rocking the streets! What luck! This is one of my absolutely favourite shops... I adore the lanterns, absolutely adore! and I'm not telling how many I've packed home!

The full moon was such a wonderful site to me! Shining so brightly over the festival and all the lights of Hoi An.

Wish lanterns! Make a wish and pop it in the water, and watch it float away!

We spent another full day here in Hoi An, shopping and wandering! This is a town of all things hand made, so many people purchased clothing, shoes, glasses, lanterns, there are a million things made out of cloth, leather and bamboo, all hand made here at exceptional prices! What a great, but busy, little town.

This morning I'm on a flight heading to Saigon, and should be there by just after noon... we will see what the bright lights and big city have to offer!
