Stoked! Today is the day I make it across the boarder to Cambodia! I'm absolutely so excited for this country! It was a long, and very tight fit bus ride, but so worth it! A few stops, one on the Vietnam side, and one on the Cambodia side, and a short ferry ride across the Mekong, and it's official, I'm in Cambodia! First city Phnom Penh, and it's beautiful! I love it! Tuk Tuks are the best, and funnest way to get around, so why not do a city tour by tuk tuk! Below is a photo of a central temple that has a huge clock out front. It's in the centre of a round about, and very much a park like atmosphere! So lovely! and what a beautiful day too!
Made another little friend along the way! This guy was so tiny, but so friendly!
This is the Independence Monument, modeled after the central tower of Angkor Wat. When you go somewhere in town, they often reference how far the distance is from this central spot.
...they were just standing around doing what looked like nothing... why not get a picture with them! Ya, I'm a goof, but it's all good!
See all those people... they are all doing a work out in the central park. HA! It's so funny watching them! Everyone comes out, all dressed up, music is pumpin' and they are exercising in the park! Was hilarious to watch, but a great idea at the same time!
Everything here is beautiful... everything! It was a gorgeous afternoon and evening!
Even a light show at the water fountain, with the National museum in the background.
Dinner at this great little place on the second story of a corner building looking over the main street across from the Mekong River... it was absolutely delicious, with a great view! Lovin this place!
