Phnom Pehn to Siem Reap

Goooooood Morning! Bus trip today to Siem Reap today! ... started off with a little morning nibble... tarantula! Yep! Crazy! and Crunchy!

...grasshoppers anyone? Apparently today is the day of real local food!

Luckily there are less stray's in Vietnam and Cambodia than I've seen in other countries.  But the pups that are homeless are less friendly or used to friendly human interaction.

More food, BBQ hard cooked eggs, but didn't try these. Another specialty here is small eggs fetus, although I'm sure they have a much nicer name for them! Basically eggs that have been fertilized and start developing. I didn't try these - ICK! That's way to far for this girl!

Dumplings with pork and veggies!

Lunch was a great little stop at a lake side grass hut. Food was meh, but the view couldn't be beat, especially from this comfy spot!

Next stop was at Kompong pluk floating village.  We are mid wet season right now, in dry season, the water is about 3m lower, and at the end of the wet season, the water can be 3m higher! All houses are on stilts and a few are floating. Most of the time they get around by boat, but of course, that can easily change if the waters leave.

Beautiful dancing accompanied dinner, several different local dances were displayed. Their costumes were so intricate and beautiful!

...and of course, a little shopping and a bevy after a long day! Love this tuktuk...
